Successful Innovation Day of afb Application Services AG opened up new perspectives for the financial world
Munich, 10 April 2014 - afb Application Services AG (afb), a leading European full-service provider for the optimisation of financing processes of banks and leasing companies, hosted the afb Market and Innovation Event 2014 in Munich on 3 April 2014.
Under the heading “Business. Innovation. Transformation. New perspectives for the financial world”, afb presented numerous experts and executives of the financial services industry with a varied programme that presented new trends, innovative implementation options and an appropriate platform for stimulating discussions.
During the morning, keynote presentations offered a journey through time to look at the innovations of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Prof. Dr. Elgar Fleisch, Director of the Institute for Technology Management at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), and Professor of Information Management at the Zurich ETH, presented, among others, the “Internet of Things” and its impact on current and future business processes. The afternoon focused on the practical implementation of innovative solutions. Helmut Lenz, Head of Dealer Wholesale Finance with S-Kreditpartner GmbH, illustrated innovative aspects of credit rating in wholesale financing. A highlight of the afb Market and Innovation Event was the interactive sessions of the “Speed Innovation Market” on the topics of mobile payment, data security, social media, vehicle evaluation, computer vision technology, liquidity management and regulatory reporting in the back office. Participants had the opportunity to discover new trends and exchange and discuss ideas in interactive small groups moderated by representatives of the companies accuris AG, biw Bank für Investments und Wertpapiere AG, Capco - The Capital Markets Company GmbH, Dacuda AG, Dallorey GmbH, DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH and SOFTMARK AG.
