Most private individuals who want to finance a property remain loyal to their house banks. But that doesn't always have to be the case. Today, around one in three mortgage applications is already made via an online portal.
If a bank wants to respond to the wishes of digitally savvy customers without becoming dependent on financial portals, it can upgrade its technology to enable digital loan agreements to be concluded. According to Philipp Oberleitner, banks can still catch up with online portals when it comes to addressing customers.
