Precise knowledge of one's own business activities forms the basis for strategic decisions, risk management, the future development of financial products and customer relationships. Business Intelligence provides users with a powerful, web-based BI system that can be used to create both standardized reports and individual analyses.
The extensive web-based reports and analyses are subdivided according to target groups (Marketing and Sales, Application Management, Contract Management and Accounting, Accounting and Controlling, System and Administration) on the one hand, and enable evaluations according to business areas such as Retail Finance for Loans and Leasing, Wholesale Finance, Collateral Management or Partner Management on the other.
Business Intelligence can also make the central database from the integrated data warehouse available to third-party systems and services or connect them to the central data warehouse. The data warehouse thus forms the central data pool for the connected heterogeneous systems and drastically reduces the number of direct interfaces.
OLTP for reports
Online Transactional Processing (OLTP) is provided for classic reports from the data warehouse or real-time reports from the operational database, the results of which are output in tabular or cross-tabular form and narrowed down using filters and search criteria and for which cumulations and aggregations are created.
Online analytical processing for large databases
Online analytical processing (OLAP) is used to analyze multidimensional data cubes with drill-down and roll-up operations as well as slicing and dicing.
Data processing
All data can be exported for further processing in Office programs such as Excel or Word.
Daily updates of the ODS
The CMS and other operational systems supply the operational data store (ODS) of the data warehouse with operational data on a daily basis, which is automatically extracted, transformed and loaded using the integrated ETL tools. Basic data structures such as OLAP cubes and OLTP tables are generated by transforming the data from the ODS, usually at daily intervals, and form the basis for reports and analyses.
Reports and analyses for marketing and sales
They form the basis for targeted offers to customers and interested parties, include information on properties, partners and customer groups in the analysis of sales markets and allow the evaluation of financial products such as the market acceptance of special interest rates or the dependency on criteria such as gender or age.
Reports and analyses for application decisions and processing
They enable the performance and quality of the decision-making, processing and settlement processes to be monitored.
Reports and analyses for contract management and accounting
They provide, for example, commission and subsidy statistics, data for notifications to residual credit insurers, pending installment payments and return debit notes as well as information on open items, evaluations of contracts in reminder depending on segmentation, reconciliation statistics with the general ledger or group ledger of the accounting department and much more.
Reports and analyses for accounting and controlling
They include, for example, information on vehicle inventory valuations, credit risk analysis, accounting regulations (HGB, IFRS), net asset value calculation, individual value adjustments based on the dunning process, reporting.
Reports and analyses for system and administration
They provide, for example, information on the use, usage behavior and system utilization of the CMS.
The Business Intelligence module enables comprehensive evaluations of the credit business of banks and leasing companies in an integrated, web-based system.
Reports and analyses are no longer carried out by employees of the financial services provider alone, but are also made available to employees at the point of sale (PoS) as well as the sales force and other partners involved in business processing.
Precise knowledge of the company's own business activities forms an optimal basis for operational decision-making and the management of day-to-day business and lays the foundation for strategic decisions, risk management and the future development of financial products and customer relationships.
The solution includes a large number of ready-made, tried-and-tested reports along the life cycle of a service. These are helpful for marketing and sales, application decisions and processing, contract management and accounting or accounting and controlling.
Reports and analyses are available for all business areas in use, such as Retail Finance (credit and leasing), Wholesale Finance, Collateral Management and Partner Management.
The solution supports Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) for complex, time-based evaluations as well as Online Transactional Processing (OLTP) in classic tabular form. With OLTP, users can choose between analyses based on data from the data warehouse or real-time data from the operational portfolio. The flexible query methods cover all issues relating to the credit and leasing business of a financial services provider.
With the help of the integrated functions for extracting, transforming and loading data (ETL), the extraction, transformation and creation of data structures, data tables and data cubes is fully automated.
The solution can also make the central database from the data warehouse available to third-party systems and services or connect third-party systems to the central data warehouse. The data warehouse thus forms a central data pool for evaluations from the CMS and the connected heterogeneous systems and drastically reduces the number of direct interfaces between the systems.
